 | The First Tee Certification Process has five general requirements:- core lesson exposure
- life skills application
- golf skills application
- life skills knowledge
- golf knowledge
At each level of the program - Par, Birdie, and Eagle - the participants are tested and, upon certification, are eligible to progress to the next level |
Par Level - An eight week series consisting of a 1 1/2 session once a week
- Golf Fundamentals-grip, stance, alignment, posture
- Putting, chipping and pitching
- Full swing- woods and irons
- Basic rules of golf
- How to play quickly and safely
- Interpersonal communication

Birdie Level - An eight week series consisting of a 2 hour session once a week
- Advanced putting and short game skills
- How to improve your full swing
- Club selection for short game
- Advanced rules of golf and etiquette
- Goals and dreams

Eagle Level - Four six week series consisting of a 2 hour session every two weeks
- How to warm up before practicing or playing
- How to get the most out of practice sessions
- How to self-check you swing fundamentals
- How to be more accurate with irons and woods
- How to use strategy on the golf course
- How to have a healthy body, mind and heart
- Respect for others
- Appreciating diversity
- Conflict resolution

If not currently a member of The First Tee A separate permission form for the First Tee of the Tri-Valley along with membership fee of $35.00 (valid through the end of year) is required to participate. |
